The political analyst has been on numerous video columns called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to punish Maraga and other judges who nullified the presidential election in 2017.

In December last year, Ngunyi called on President Kenyatta not to spare Maraga whom he described as a “political snake”.

“We are not persuaded by this Maraga man, we think he is a political snake. We give Maraga a D+ for his logic. To say that process is more important than results falls way below the level of political nonsense,” the analyst stated.

"In February, Ngunyi also used his video column to call for the ouster of Maraga from office, even laying out a hypothetical plan that the President could use to carry out the exercise.
