The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has demanded for tougher conditions against businessman Jimmy Wanjigi.
The DPP has demanded for a review of bail terms for the businessman allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA).
In the fresh demands, the DPP wants the court to compel the businessman to deposit more documents in court as surety that he will cooperate with the court.
The DPP sought the intervention of the court to bar the businessman from leaving the country without permission from the police or the court.
Wanjigi’s lawyer Julie Soweto termed the new demands insincere, noting that the businessman has never been questioned by the police and investigations stalled long ago.
His troubles began in October when security agencies stormed his home over claims over claims of possession of illegal weapons.
The opposition termed it an act of intimidation and harassment after Wanjigi fell out with the Jubilee administration and defected to the opposition.
