Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has been accused of showboating and seeking glamour at the expense of development with the general elections only 28 days away.
Mombasa Senator and Wiper gubernatorial candidate Hassan Omar ridiculed Joho over his constant taking of photos with Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga.

“Joho thinks that his taking of photos with Raila will get him re-elected in August,” Omar mocked.
The Mombasa Senator said Joho had failed to deliver for the people of Mombasa.
"I am here to strengthen Nasa's perspective. I do not need to be going round with my principals," said Mr Omar.
Omar further said that he did not require the endorsement of Raila for him to be elected as Mombasa’s next governor.
A confident Omar affirmed that was above tribal politics saying he did not need endorsement of any community to become governor.
"I do not need endorsement of the Kamba or Luo communities because I know I am in their souls. I don't need their endorsement. We want to shun tribalism in this country and we have to do that by removing Uhuru, Ruto and Joho as well," he said.
The Senator however called on Mombasa residents to overwhelmingly vote in Nasa saying it will deal with the problems of poor infrastructure and unemployment.
The Mombasa gubernatorial race is one of the most eagerly awaited pitting the incumbent Joho against Omar, Jubilee's Suleiman Shahbal and Vibrant Democratic Party's Hezron Awiti.
