President Uhuru Kenyatta has now told Peter Kenneth to step down for Jubilee gubernatorial candidate Mike Sonko in the race for Citys top job.
Speaking in Embakasi South on Friday in Nairobi County, Kenyatta stated that Sonko and his running mate Polycarp igathte were capable of bringing change in Nairobi.
"We know you have suffered under the current county leadership but we assure you Sonko will change that," the Head of State affirmed.
Kenneth, who was in Jubilee until he lost to Sonko during the the nominations , opted to run as an independent candidate in his bid to unseat incumbent Evans Kidero.
Before abandoning Jubilee, the former Gatanga MP claimed that the Jubilee nominations were tampered with in favour of the Senator and liked DP William Ruto.
