Kenyan movie Star Maina Olwenya was in the same vehicle with the late Churchill show comedian, Emmanuel Makori alias Ayeiya, during the grisly accident on Magadi road that took away the later’s life.
Olwenya, who starred in Nairobi Half was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital together with comedian Paul wa Kimani and Ayeiya’s wife, who is currently using crutches to move around.
Questions have been raised on the health condition of Olwenya since he was nowhere to be seen during Ayeiya’s memorial service and his burial, which were both graced by members of the entertainment industry.
For this reason, Plive.co.ke reached out to a close friend of Olwenya who assured us that he was doing fine.
James Irungu, a fellow actor and currently a camera operator on Churchill Show, divulged that Olwenya had been taken to the hospital but at the moment he was well.
Ayeiya’s death shocked the country and was even eulogized by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Head of State posted on his social media a photo in which he was with Ayeiya and his fellow comedians, to condole with the family of the deceased.
President Kenyatta noted that the country will never forget Makori's signature which was: Ayeiya poa poa.
