East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Oburu Odinga has opened up on a new deal between his brother and NASA leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speculation has been rife across sections of the media that Oburu was negotiating for a political deal to save the country from deepening division.
It is believed that President Kenyatta sent National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale as an emissary to Oburu to initiate the discussions as part of a national dialogue.
Oburu has now come out to deny the claims terming them as outrageous aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
“It is not true that President Uhuru Kenyatta sent anybody to me for the purported discussions,” Oburu stated.
The EALA MP has threatened to take legal action on those peddling the lies and propaganda which he said aims at breaking up the NASA coalition.
“Yes, I met Duale, Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi and Jubilee Chief Whip Benjamin Washiali over tea. I asked them to support my candidature once it is tabled in Parliament,” Oburu was quoted by The Star.
