It was also reported that Musyoka had met Wetangula and Mudavadi at his home where he allegedly pushed for a common stand ahead of the second meeting with the NASA leader.

Odinga is reported to have insisted that the swearing in was the only way to sustain the anti-Jubilee rhetoric among Opposition supporters, adding that the NASA support base would be angered if the plan was suspended for the second time.

Hours of negotiations

After hours of negotiation, the NASA leaders left Karen Country Club without a common position with a subsequent meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

The coalition partners also failed to resolve the split in NASA caused by the sharing of parliamentary positions among the four constituent parties.
