A Kenyan student at the Moi University on Wednesday contacted President Uhuru Kenyattas former school, Amherst College located in the US, to confirm whether he (Kenyatta) truly graduated.

In a tweet, Augustine Alanga, poked holes on whether the President was recognized by the institution and questioned why it  never congratulated Mr Kenyatta in 2013 ,when he was elected as the Head of State.

“Again let it be known that never congratulated for "winning" 2013 presidential election.Did he actually graduate?” Alanga tweeted.

In a response, Amherst College mentioned that indeed President Kenyatta, who was studying Political Science and Economics, graduated  in 1985.
