Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo fanatical support for Nasa leader Raila Odinga on Thursday once again came to the fore after he said that his own wife would chase him away if he sabotaged the ODM leader’s presidential bid.
Midiwo who is also Raila’s cousin spoke during the national prayer breakfast at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

“My wife will chase me away from home, even my own mother would not let me into her home, she would turn in her grave if I ever attempted to sabotage Raila,” Midiwo said.
Midiwo, the National Assembly deputy minority leader, was handed an embarrassing defeat during the recent ODM primaries by Siaya politician Elisha Odhiambo.
Odhiambo garnered 13,400 votes against Midiwo’s 8,900 votes.
However, Midiwo disputed the results saying that the nominations were not free and fair and cited massive irregularities in the process.
Midiwo accused Raila’s brother Oburu Odinga of having a hand in his defeat as well as the chaos witnessed in the party’s Migori Kisumu and Siaya primaries.
Midiwo also claimed Oburu’s brother rigged in his cronies, locking out the electorates’ preferred candidates.
Midiwo affirmed he would vie as an independent during the August polls but his support for Raila remained firm.
