Kenya national rugby 15s head coach Jerome Paarwater has picked negatives from their Elgon Cup’s 33-33 draw recorded against Uganda on Saturday June 24.
The Simbas came from behind to equalize the visitors for their 56-51 aggregate victory having beaten the Rugby Cranes in the cup’s first leg meeting at the beginning of the month.
When asked whether his boys played according to his instructions, the South African told P Live that all went well save for some lapse in kick chase.
“Obviously today our defense let us down a bit, especially in kick chase but now we know what to work on. However, I think the draw was a true reflection of the game.”
Kenya will host Tunisia on July 8 for their second match of the 2017 Africa Gold Cup.
