Flamboyant male socialite Bryan White has been released on a 280, 000 shillings cash bail, after his arrest last year.

The socialite whose real name is Brian Kirumira was released alongside a police officer identified as Corporal Thomas Okot who is his body guard, according media reports from Uganda.

Bryan White was arrested over allegedly shooting and injuring his neighbor identified as Victor Bitwire at night in the leafy suburb of Buziga in Kampala late last year.

The two appeared before Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on December 21st 2017 and were charged with the attempted murder of Victor Bitwire after they were detained at the Kabalagala police station for some time.

Bryan is known to go around dishing money in all the parties he attends.

The socialite who is battling with attempted murder charges was released on a cash bail of 280,000 Kenya shillings, which translates to 10 million Uganda shillings.

According to the statement he made, Bryan reported that Bitwire and other occupants in his car wanted to kill him and that is when he shot in the air as a warning to them but they refused to leave.

Bryan and his body guard will return to court on Jan 30, 2018 for another hearing.
