2 unexpected events that happened during Uhuru's son wedding

We wish the couple all the best in their marriage.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Jomo Kenyatta walked down the Aisle with his fiancée Fiona Achola Ngobi in a lavish white wedding over the weekend.

The invite only wedding had two outstanding events that are not a norm in many weddings.

The exquisite all-white ceremony was the first wedding to be held at State House on a Sunday evening.

The other thing that stood out was that all the invited guests were barred from accessing the venue with any recording cameras or phones.

This could be reason no photos or videos have been leaked to the public yet. The wedding was also kept out of media and general public.

Achola is niece to Defence CS Raychelle Omamo and granddaughter to the late William Odongo Omamo; former minister for Agriculture, Minister for Environment and Natural Resources and a former Member of Parliament for the Bondo Constituency and Muhoroni Constituency.

Achola and Kenyatta welcomed their first child, baby Wanjiru, in November 2017.

The wedding attracted top personalities within Kenya’s political and social scene, and was complete with fireworks at night.

The two held their traditional dowry and wedding ceremony in 2016 in Ichaweri, Gatundu. The baby was named Wanjiru after Kenyatta’s mother, First Lady Margaret.
