Close to a month after the one-year anniversary of Mama Lucy’s saddening death, intimate photos of the kind of relationship she had with her grandson have surfaced.

Despite the media painting her as an aggressive, ungovernable, unapproachable and impossible woman,there was a side of her that we never got a glimpse of. And that was the side of how close she was with her grandchildren and family who spoke highly of her.

In fact when she died at a hospital in London where she had been flown in for treatment, she spent her last moments with her loved ones.

Remembering his grandmother, Kibaki junior uploaded this photo of Lucy Kibaki cradling him when he was an infant as his dad Jimmy looks on. “Time flies. 26.04.2016” read the caption with the date being the day she breathed her last.

Earlier on, he had shared another photo of the former first family being entrained by Senior Chief Koinange students.
