KNH Registrars abandon duty after brain surgery saga

KNH Boycott

Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) Registrars on Monday started a boycott following the tragic brain surgery which saw a wrong patient operated on.

The over 700 Registrar doctors refused to report to work after their colleague was suspended over the brain surgery mix-up.

A Registrar medic is one undergoing specialised training in order to become a consultant.

They demanded for the reinstatement of the suspended neurosurgeon and called on the KNH Board to resolve systemic failures at the largest referral hospital in the country.
