Common infections you can get from using a toilet

Using a toilet can be one of the most harrowing experiences of your life. Especially public rest rooms or the toilet at your fishy friends house.

In toilets where you can't be 100% sure of the hygienic process you are right to be worried.

Here are the common infections that can be spread by toilet seats.

  • E. Coli which can cause diarrhea and stomach cramps
  • Common cold
  • Hepatitis A
  • Streptococcus which can cause skin infections, pneumonia and food poisoning

It is unlikely to catch an STD from a toilet seat as  your skin would have to be broken for the microorganisms to infect you.
