4 best ways to make early mornings easier

How to avoid falling into the trap of snoozing.

When having a job that forces you to wake up early every morning, you may find it difficult to wake up.

You probably have a very early alarm and about fifty snoozes to accompany the first snooze so as to wake up with just enough time to dress up and have breakfast.

Becoming a morning person isn't easy but this helps with waking up early.

Here are 5 ways to make your morning routine easier.

Recommended For You

1. Sleep on time

This allows you to get enough rest by the time morning rolls around.

2. Time your sleep stages

There is a time in the morning when sleep is still at a very deep stage. Waking up at that time tends to make you groggy. Try to see when that grogginess ends and set your alarm for that time.

3. Use light

Exposure to light helps you wake up more. Try to set your phone's brightness to be incremental as your alarm rings. If you don't have that option, place your phone in such a way that you'd have to turn on the lights to get to it.

4. Get morning motivation

Look for something you love to do and schedule it for the morning so that you look forward to waking up. For instance if you love to read, set aside some time for reading in the morning.
