And of course, fans have been eagerly awaiting season three of Ozark since season two ended in 2018, and Netflix recently revealed the premiere date for the season. At an FYC screening and panel Ozark's writer, creator, and executive producer Chris Mundy explained what the third season will be about: "The third season to us is [about] what keeps you safe and whether or not hiding keeps you safe or attacking keeps you safe. In other seasonsbetween Season 1 and Season 2, certainlywe sort of left with a whole lot of plot we needed to answer, and we intentionally didnt leave ourselves with a whole lot of plot to answer for in Season 3. So its more emotional within; we write everything through the marriage. So for us, its all about that marriage."
Here's what else you need to know about season three of Ozark.
Ozark season three will premiere on March 27.
Netflix recently announced that season three of Ozark will be available on March 27, and the season will have 10 episodes, just like seasons one and two. A full trailer for season three was released on March 5.
The plot of Ozark season three picks up six months after the events of season two.
As Deadline reports, the third season will follow the family's casino business, as it's now up and running. But even with the new venture proving to be successful, Marty and Wendy begin fighting for control. Wendy then becomes allied with attorney Helen and drug cartel leader Omar Navarro, and she starts to plot for expansion on her own. However, Wendy's plans (and everyone else's) are thrown into disarray when her little brother Ben comes to town.
Season three's cast will still be led by Jason Bateman and Laura Linney.
Bateman will be back as Marty Byrde, and it appears that he also directed the first episode of the season. Linney will reprise her role as Wendy Byrde, and the cast also counts Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, McKinley Belcher III among its returnees.
New full-time cast members include Tom Pelphrey and Jessica Frances Dukes, and Joseph Sikora and Felix Solis are new recurring characters. Pelphrey will play Ben, Wendys younger brother, and Solis will take on the role of Omar Navarro, the leader of Mexicos second largest drug cartel.
