I'll take some ramen, hold the cyst contents please. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD squeezes a ramen noodle from a patients scalp. And the clip is sure to make your next ramen date moderately traumatizing.
The clip, which is inexplicably set to Superstition by Stevie Wonder, starts with Dr. Lee showing the cyst right at the center of the womans head. The famed derm then squeezes out the cyst through an incision, causing a wavy noodle of cyst contents to come streaming out.
One fan commented on the video, My kids said it looks like a top ramen noodle. And the comparison is startlingly accurate.
While usually fans compare cyst contents to food, one commenter simply wrote, Reminds me of a tapeworm. Oh dear.
The growth featured in this video is likely a pilar cyst due to its location and appearance. Pilar cysts are growths on the scalp that contain excess keratin, which is the protein that makes up your hair and nails.
In her caption for the video, Dr. Lee capitalized on the coronavirus conversation by writing, Too bad cysts dont squirt out hand sanitizer. Where does she come up with this stuff?
