It's a brand new week, and dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, aka Dr. Pimple Popper , is helping her fans start it on the right foot. Actually, you might say she in-cysts on a good start to the week. She is here to make that happen in her new Instagram video.
In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Instagram video, she tackles cysts that are ready to burst out. Dr. Pimple Popper wrote in the caption: "Bringing a cyst and its sac to brighten your Monday morning! Happy Monday everyone! #drpimplepopper"
Dr. Pimple Popper drops some knowledge while she pops. She informs her patient and fans that this is an epidermoid cyst. "It's filled with wet skin cells or the technical term is macerated keratin," she explains. These epidermoid cysts require extra attention. First, Dr. Pimple Popper uses her fingers to squeeze and drain all the macerated keratin out. Once it starts streaming out, it doesn't stop until it's empty.
There's one step left to eliminate the empty epidermoid cyst. Dr. Pimple Popper has to remove the cyst sac wall. This is the only way to ensure the cyst won't fill up again and require another visit.
Dr. Pimple Popper's video did the trick. One fan raved about it in the comments: "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. This was my Monday sunshine!" The derm replied: "A little pop of sunshine! " Grab your sunglasses and watch it as many times as you want.
