Reminder: Abby Lee, the coach and main personality of the show, has been battling Burkitt lymphoma, an aggressive type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, since April 2018. She was diagnosed after undergoing emergency spinal surgery and has been documenting her progress on social media ever since. Just this past May, Abby announced she was officially cancer free .

Considering Abby's been photographed using a wheelchair and had her choreographer Gianna conduct the dancers' auditions for her , this season probably won't be exactly the same as previous ones. But one thing's for sure: if Abby Lee's back in the dance studio, there's bound to be ~drama~. And, let's be real, you won't want to miss a moment of it.

But before you tune in, here's everything you need to know about Dance Moms: Resurrection :

Khalif Kairo and his former business partner Clement Kinuthia are locked in a heated exchange of accusations, with Kairo now alleging that Clement not only cheated on his wife but also had an affair with his (Kairo’s) girlfriend. The car dealer also revealed that he is currently single, but will introduce a new lady once he resolves the issues surrounding his business.

On Tuesday, June 4th, the ALDC returns to Lifetime at 9 p.m. EST. But if you can't wait that long (tbh, same), tune into an all-new special, Dance Moms: The Return of Abby, on June 4th at 8 p.m. EST.

If you have cable, you can watch right on Lifetime, or if you're a cord cutter, you can watch on MyLifetime.com . Just know you'll have to borrow a friend's (read: your parents') cable login to access full episodes. If that's not available, you can also watch on Hulu (thank you, TV streaming gods!).

Wait, remind me what happened on Dance Moms Season 7?

Well, sh*t really went down last time the hit Lifetime show was on air. In season seven, Abby Lee Miller lost a portion of her elite girls' group, who split off to form their own group called The Irreplaceables.

Abby literally stormed off set after seeing the risque dance moves they performed at their first competition without her (they hired choreographer Aisha Francis to put together the routine).

View this post on Instagram The majority of children that follow me may be fast asleep, however now is the critical time to make the following statement: I WILL NO LONGER TAKE PART IN DANCE MOMS. FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS/ SEVEN SEASONS I HAVE ASKED, BEGGED, AND EVEN DEMANDED CREATIVE CREDIT FOR ALL THE IDEAS, AWARD WINNING ROUTINES, THEMES, AND COSTUMING - TO NO AVAIL! TODAY, I WAS SO PROUD THAT I WENT AGAINST THE PRODUCER'S IDEA (ONCE AGAIN) TO ENTER A COMMAND PERFORMANCE OF ONE OF MY FAVORITE NUMBERS... "WHERE HAVE ALL THE CHILDREN GONE?" ALONG WITH THREE BEAUTIFUL SOLOS! I don't have a problem working with any kid, I love children and have dedicated my life to making other people's children successful! I JUST HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BEING MANIPULATED, DISRESPECTED, AND USED - DAY IN AND DAY OUT BY MEN WHO NEVER TOOK A DANCE LESSON IN THEIR LIVES AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE DIRT! #dancemoms #season7 #ALDC #aldcalways #newbeginnings #aldcla #alllovedancecourage A post shared by Abby Lee Miller (@therealabbylee) on Mar 26, 2017 at 9:35pm PDT

But when the Irreplaceables struggled to find victory under Aisha, Aisha left-leaving them coachless. So the moms called in Cheryl Burke (a dance pro on Dancing With The Stars) to choreograph a new routine before Nationals. At the end of the season, the girls ultimately became West Coast national champs-a major victory that they were never able to achieve with Abby as their coach.

Off-camera, Abby was going through some sh*t of her own, too. She was sentenced in May 2017 to spend one year and a day in federal prison for felony bankruptcy fraud.

Okayyy, so who's in the Dance Moms Season 8 cast?

Obviously, Abby and Gianna are both back (despite Abby's previous claims that she wasn't returning). As for the dancers, if you were hoping to see some familiar faces return this season, prepare to be disappointed. Christi Lukasiak (Chloe's mom) reportedly told her social media followers way back in October 2017 that "theyre replacing all of us," (referring to the show's original stars), per the International Business Times .

And that's exactly what happened. The new Dance Moms cast is made up of five girls: Lilly, Hannah, GiaNina, Kamryn, Pressley and one boy: Brady. Technically, not all the dancers are brand spankin' new to ALDC-Lilly first joined the show in Season 6 as part of the ALDC Mini team before making it to the elite team in Season 7. Still, she hasn't been a **major** part of the show until this season. (Case in point: Lilly has never snagged a leading dance role in her ALDC career, though, according to IMDb , that will change in the third episode of Season 8.)

What else can you expect from Dance Moms: Resurrection?

Well, for starters, a fresh start. "I've been given a second chance," Abby Lee says in a sneak peek video for the new season. "A second chance at life. I've been given a second chance to become a dance teacher."

But if you thought Abby's recent life experiences would soften her teaching style, you'd be oh so wrong. She's back to her old self, sharing classic Abby-isms such as, "Well, that was a mess," "Not good enough," and of course, "Everyone's replaceable."

Oh, and she's shaking things up from the jump. In the sneak peek, Abby explains to her dancers that she wants them all to start off on a level playing field. To do that, Abby tells Lilly (the only returning dancer) to give back her ALDC jacket. Nbd, right? Wrong. In the words of Abby Lee: "Nobody's safe, so don't unpack your bags yet."

So yeah... you can expect to see all kinds of confrontation go down between Abby Lee and the moms this season, too. In just the first episode, Lilly's mom, Stacey, isn't happy when she's cast in a "cutesy acro" trio. Despite her better judgement (and fans likely shouting at their TVs "Don't go in there!"), she brings up her problem to Abby.

Big mistake. Big! Huge! "You can't control my choreography," Abby tells her point blank. Then, after Stacey explains that Lilly would prefer to do a ballet or pointe routine, Abby points to the door, telling Lilly, "Go back to ballet school. Show them." Yikes on yikes on yikes.

Since all that goes down in the first episode, anything can happen in the new season. And, knowing Abby Lee Miller, it probably will.
