Sewerage Systems
Poor sewerage systems have become an issue in the Western region counties as effluent from towns flows into streams and rivers which are the primary source of water for most households.
Health authorities in the region have advised residents to drink treated water and uphold higher standards of hygiene.
Ng'iya Girls made the news in July 2018 closed indefinitely following unrest among the students.
