Residents of Gatitu village, Murang’a county are mourning with the family of Juliano Kanyonyo, one of the area’s KCPE top performers who died only hours before he could receive his exam results.

Kanyonyo was found dead in his room on Sunday, a week after he underwent circumcision at a local hospital.

His uncle, Joseph Kamande, said the family was shocked at their son’s death given that he had been in perfect health and was recovering well from the circumcision wounds.
