Threat from Uhuru's lawyer forces Standard to pull down sensitive story

The Standard Media Group has been forced to pull down a sensitive story after lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi threatened to sue the company for defamation.

The media group, through their digital platform, published an article that accused Abdullahi of bullying the Judiciary.

However, the no-nonsense lawyer immediately took to Twitter where he warned the Mombasa Road-based media house that it would face legal consequences.

"The standard newspaper should know that defamation and "toddler journalism" has legal consequences...," he tweeted.

A few hours after the tweet, the controversial article was pulled down from the Standard Media Group's web pages.
