EACC has launched fresh investigations on Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his Nairobi County counterpart Mike Sonko.
According to a brief seen by reporters, th e two are being investigated on accusations of abuse of office, corruption and unexplained wealth.
Governor Waititu is under probe for procurement irregularities and unexplained expenditures that were raised during his meeting with the Senate Public Accounts Committee.
The acquisition of a newly renovated building within Nairobi CBD that allegedly belongs to the Kiambu county boss is also under investigation.

Sonko's flashy lifestyle
EACC has questioned Governor Sonko's source of wealth give that he is not known to have made any major investments.
The governor's Mua Hills ranch is also under probe following a number of inconsistencies in the Nairobi County accounts books for the 2017/2018 financial year.
The governor also appeared before the Senate PAC where he was asked to explain secret bank accounts that belong to the Nairobi County.
