A househelp was on Tuesday charged with killing her daughter who she stated resembled ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The lady identified as Sevelina Mwihaki Kamau, was alleged to have committed the act at her employer’s residence in Riverside, Nairobi.

The prosecution during her presentation in court noted that after ending the life of the eight-month-old baby, the criminal hid the body for a period of time before the matter was reported to the police by neighbors who had grown suspicious when the baby went missing.

Kibera senior resident magistrate Renee Kamau remarked that Sevelinah had to undergo a mental checkup before she could be allowed to take a plea.
Sevelinah had further been accused that she had murdered the baby for refusing to drink milk, a claim that she denied.
Househelp denied bond
The judge however refused to issue the suspect with a bond and her case would be heard on May 13.
