The leaders met in Machakos during the installation of Bishop Norman Kingoo as the new Catholic Church Bishop for Machakos Diocese.
Musyoka and Ruto urged Kenyans to forget the divisions caused by last year’s elections and support efforts to build bridges.
“Tujenge daraja ya urafiki na undugu na umoja ili Kenya yetu iweze kuenda mbele. (Let’s build bridges of friendship, brotherhood and unity so that our Kenya can move forward)." Ruto said.
Bishop Norman Kingoo was appointed by Pope Francis in June 2018 after his predecessor Arch-Bishop Martin Kivuva was elevated to lead the Mombasa Arch-Diocese.
This was the second time that DP Ruto was meeting Musyoka since tha March 09 handshake deal.
The two met for the first time at an Iftar dinner hosted by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
The meeting came on the same day that Mombasa governor Hassan Joho extended the spirit of the handshake, leading a delegation of elected leaders in meeting retired President Daniel Moi.
