Speaking during the commissioning of the Mombasa-Mariakani highway, Mr Ruto rubbished Odinga's claim as pure propaganda.

On Tuesday the Former Prime Minister accused Matiang'i, who is the acting Interior and Coordination CS replacing the late Joseph Nkaissery, of being used by the Jubilee Government to steal votes in the upcoming poll.

According to Odinga the Minister had secretly met with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners to plot the plan to rig the election.

However, while addressing resident at the Coast DP Ruto dismissed the allegations warning Odinga against dragging Matiang'i's name into politics.

He noted that Jubilee was not interested in stealing any votes.

"Matiang'i is not participating in politics, we have enough people who can engage in politic on our behalf," Ruto stated."

"They should make up their minds whether they are ready for elections or not, do they want to be a candidate in this election or do they want to to be managers?" Ruto questioned.
