Kabogo concedes defeat as Waititu gets massive votes

Speaking to the press on Wednesday afternoon Kabogo said that he respects the decision of the people of Kiambu.
"I concede. I have congratulated Waititu this afternoon; I thank people of Kiambu for opportunity to serve you in my first term," Mr Kabogo told journalists.
As at 4pm on 9th August, Mr Kabogo was coming second with 198,086 votes, way trailing Mr Waititu who is leading with 736,925 votes.
Kiambu County has 1.1 million voters with 1963 polling stattions. By the time of his announcement to concede, 1886 polling stations had posted their results to the IEBC.
Mr Kabogo quit Jubilee Party expressing frustrations after the party primaries which he said were a sham. He claimed that the DP William Ruto was behind his woes, prompting him to vie as an independent candidate in the hot Kiambu County race.
