Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has responded to NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga after announcing he will resign if he wins the Nairobi gubernatorial race.
During his campaign in Nairobi, Odinga announced that he would resign immediately if he was to win the presidency and Sonko beats incumbent Evans Kidero.
"If I win presidency and Sonko also win the governorship, I will resign immediately as President," Odinga said. However, the Nairobi senator has told the Opposition leader to start preparing in advance to quit politics. Addressing a gathering during a meet-the-people tour in Nairobi, Sonko stated that it was not the former Prime Minister who would decide for people whom they would vote for.
