Citizen TV’s Joey Muthengi and Willis Raburu to face arrest

There is trouble in paradise.

After threats of their show getting banned, the hosts are facing possible arrest if they don't comply with Ezekiel's draconian rules.

Ezekiel Mutua has in the past accused the show of promoting immorality and promised to crack the whip. In a post on Facebook Ezekiel revealed that during the last show, there were plans to raid Citizen TV and arrests the hosts for ‘staging obscenities’.

But apparently, Ezekiel called down the raid after the hosts ‘behaved’.

“10/10 Show on Citizen TV was much better last night. I guess they knew that we were watching. They must have gotten wind that we had alerted police in Kilimani to help us stage a raid and arrest the hosts and the guests to record a statement. That's why Joey Muthengi was talking about being stressed the whole week. She should be ready for real stress the day we get into that studio with the police.” Part of the post read warning of a looming arrest.

He then accused Raburu of throwing shade “I saw Raburu trying to throw shades at me but we are not relenting and the raid will be done in line with the law. If they start bringing underage kids and staging the obscenities they were bringing before our warning, we will still raid and stop the show live.”

Ezekiel then added that everything is in the works to ensure that the hosts toe the line. “We are preparing everything including getting a search warrant, recorded evidence of past inappropriate episodes and warning letters. When we strike we shall be doing it legally and will pursue the matter to the end.”

Ezekiel then added that if the 10 over 10 hosts behaved, KFCB could even partner with the show. “If they behave like they did last night then we can even partner with them to promote talent among the youth. It's a great platform being misused to lure kids into immorality. Where do those youths go after midnight when Raburu and Joey Muthengi have turned them on? After twerking and misbehaving live on TV at midnight what happens thereafter? We appeal to parents to help us in this campaign. KFCB is doing its part but we need the support of the public. Let the campaign against unpalatable content be in the pulpits. Let it be discussed in the boardrooms. Let us all say no to stuff that can impair the moral judgement of our kids and destroy their future.”
