Bahati set to hold staggering 20 million shilling New Year's concert

Gospel New Year's concerts such as Totally Sold Out will also be held on the same night as Bahati's concert.

The Mama hit maker is set to hold a one of a kind concert at the Thika Stadium for a whopping 20 million shillings.

Bahati who recently got married to his long time beau, Diana Marua, has noticeably been out of the public eye in order to prepare for the upcoming New Year’s show.

Speaking to Pulse, Bahati revealed that the show would set precedence for his music career in the New Year.

“My plan is to fill a stadium with between 20,000 and 30,000 people. I know one might say that that is too ambitious and that I am simply dreaming but with God, all things are possible. I have faith that this will happen,” he said.

Bahati went on to dish out some advice to his fellow artists in the music industry, urging them to set the standard and come up with their own shows and concerts in order to take their music careers to the next level.

“The thing about the gospel industry is that many musicians have turned too mediocre. They want to do things to be seen and heard. Artistes have no plan on how to enhance their singing career and take it to the next level. They sit at home hoping that someone would call then up and offer them a concert. They release a song and leave it at the mercies of radio hosts and TV presenters to make it work. That is just wrong. This business must grow and for it to grow, we should have clear plans as artistes. We should own our act,” he said.

Fellow Gospel artists such as Betty Bayo, Rufftone, Ben Githae, Mr Seed, Size 8 and Wonder are also set to perform at the New Year's concert.
