In a social media post, Kate later announced that she had found her mister right with a photo she took with Phil and captioned it “Ladies and gentlemen, I found Mr Right.”
Despite finding her Mr right after just two years, Kate was a bit reluctant when it came to walking down the aisle and the two took 5 years before they finally said ‘I do’.
And the reason for the delay was Cate’s son Leon as she wanted to make sure that the whole family meshed before they made it official before God.

“I have a son who is now 11 years old. At that time I didn’t want to rush into anything. I needed to know if I was making the right choice with Phil and also by my son, so we took that time to gel as a family.” She told True Love Magazine.
And their patience paid off as Leon began addressing Phil as his dad. “It really worked out well for this way. In fact, I feel more couples should first live with each other and see if they are comfortable together before jumping straight into marriage. If anyone asked me, this is what I would say works - get to know your partner first so that when you get married you never think of divorce.” She advised.
