Popular Radio Presenter dies hours after emceeing the burial of his Boss

Tanzanian Clouds Media Group is mourning the sudden death of their Radio and TV host Ephraim Kibonde hours after emceeing the burial Ceremony of his boss Ruge Mutahaba who died while undergoing treatment in South Africa.

Information shared by Clouds FM, indicate that Kibonde passed on, on Thursday (Morning). The cause of his death is yet to be announced.

“Tukiwa bado na majeraha mabichi ya msiba wa Mkurugenzi wetu wa Vipindi na Uzalishaji #RugeMutahaba, kwa masikitiko makubwa tunatangaza kifo cha Mtangazaji wetu #EphraimKibondekilichotokea alfajiri ya leo (Machi 7 2019). Tunamtukuza Mungu kwa Maisha ya Kibonde, na kumuomba yeye ampokee na kumpuzisha katika makao ya amani ya milele. Tutaendelea kuwapa taarifa zaidi kuhusiana na msiba huu. Bwana Ametoa, Bwana Ametwaa, Jina lake Lihimidiwe.” reads Clouds FM post.

Kibonde was the main MC at the burial ceremony of Ruge Mutahaba (on Monday) who was the co-founder and programs director at Clouds Media Group. He died battling with Kidney failure for almost 6 months.

President John Pombe Magufuli and retired President Jakaya Kikwete led Tanzanians in mourning the sudden demise of Mr. Mutahaba.

Kibonde's wife

In November last year, Kibonde lost his wife Sarah Kibonde, while undergoing treatment at the Hindu Mandal Hospital in Dar es Salaam.

Taking to social media, the Clouds Media Group Management send out their condolences to their employee Mr. Kibonde.

Kibonde was a radio host of a show dubbed “JAHAZI” alongside Gadner G Habash.

“Mke wa mtangazaji wa kipindi cha Sara Kibonde amefariki dunia usiku huu wakati akiwa anapatiwa matibabu katika hospital ya Hindu mandal, jijini Dar es salaam. inatoa pole kwa familia, Ndugu, jamaa na marafiki” reads an official statement for Clouds Media Group.
