Earlier on, reports had emerged that the wanted to marry a second wife.
Romy posted a picture of his wife on Instagram with the caption “Habari za asubuhi mabibi na mabwana. Ningependa kuwafahamisha ya kwamba lile swala la mimi kutaka kuoa mke wa pili halikua la kweli. Maana naona DM zinazidi kujaa. Mtanisamehe kwa lolote lililojitokeza” (Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I want to let you know that the claims about me marrying a second wife wasn’t true. This is not the first time the Deejay has been found in such controversy. Last year, he had to apologize to his wife after he was accused of snatching a Tanzanian beauty, Najma Dattan ‘Naj belonging to singer Baraka Da Prince.
Romy denied the accusations stating that he loved his wife and he would never betray her. He blamed his enemies for the baseless accusations and said that they wanted to defame him.

In 2017, the WCB vice president wedded his longtime girlfriend, Kay Jord in an exquisite wedding ceremony.
His invite-only wedding was attended by heavy weights in the Entertainment Industry and a few government officials.
