He handed them over so that it becomes a tool to inspire the youth who think they cannot make it in life.
The ‘Sitya loss’ hit maker recently arrived in Uganda from abroad where he had gone to carry out some projects. While in abroad, he bagged two awards; The International reggae Award and World music Award. Kenzo was also voted Best Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award.
The talented singer has handed over some of the awards he received. They include; The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, BET Awards, YouTube Award, ARIMA Award and AAMA Award.
Unknown information about the artist has surfaced recently. One emcee Kats has shared the details.
The MC revealed that back then when he used to work at a bar, little Kenzo approached him and begged to perform on stage so that he could get fare back home.
He said, “This little boy came to me and begged me just to get on stage and perform since he was out of transport back home, I gave him the chance and when he performed he got UGx 2,000 from the audience which was his transport back to Kawempe. Since then I have been behind his back and now he is one of the biggest musicians in Uganda,”
Kenzo faulted the Ugandan government for failing to support local artists. He said that its time the Ugandan government invest in musicians and not just sportsmen and women.
The artist further requested the government to give musicians required equipment like professional studios and cameras as a show of support.
