Elizabeth Michael's first message after completing jail term over murder
She was jailed for accidentally killing actor Stephen Kanumba.
Lulu, who has been inactive on social media, made a comeback with a special remarks thanking all who stood by her side and prayed for her during the hard times she went through while in Jail.
The award-winning actress completed her Jail term on Monday. On May 5th Lulu was released from prison and allowed to serve community service sentence.
“Kwa dhati kabisa nichukue nafasi hii kumshukuru kila aliyeshiriki kuniombea katika kipindi kigumu sama kwangu, Kwa familia yangu na watu wangu wa katibu mliogua, mliolia na kusali pamoja na mimi ni wengi mnoo, ninaowajua na ni sio wajua pia,sala ni nyingi mnoo …Naamini imebaki hata akiba itakayoendelea kunilinda mimi na vizazi vyangu..mungu aliyepokea sala zenu ndiye mungu atakayewalipa. Kilikuwa kipindi chenye maumivu, matusi, dharau, hukumu za wanadamu, maneno ya kulaniwa, majina yasiyofaa na mambo mengine mengi ya aina hiyo. Lakini namshukuru Mungu yote haya sikuyapokea kama yalivyokuja bali niliyapokea kama somo shuke iliyonipa utukufu wake” reads part of Elizabeth Michael post.
The actress had been sentenced to a two-year jail term on November 13, 2017 for accidentally killing her fellow actor Stephen Kanumba.
Elizabeth was accused of pushing Kanumba violently where he fell and received a fatal blow on his head.
Oysterbay Police Station
She was 17 years old then and was arrested and taken into custody at Oysterbay Police Station before she was later charged with murder and remanded at a Tanzanian prison for seven months.
After her release, she managed to create a wonderful career in Tanzanian film & TV series and also as a brand ambassador and reputable TV host.
