Speaking on his Chipukeezy show on Ebru TV, he disclosed that Eric gave him Sh100, 000 to shoot his first YouTube video for Chipukeezy TV and from then, things have been better.
He went on to say that Eric Omondi’s kind act is what has led him to giving a helping hand to young people with different talents in the country.
“Huyu (Eric Omondi) ndio alinichukuanga vile mzee alinifikisha mahali alinifikisha Churchill na amenisaidia sana. The first time nilifanya Chipukeezy TV kwa YouTube Eric Omondi alinipeanga 100 thousand niende nikashoot. For real and that’s why nafanya vile mimi hufanya kwa sababu huyu aliplant seed kwangu,” he said.
Chipukeezy made the revelation after Eric who is also his closest friend appeared on his show on Monday.
Eric also commended Chipukeezy who doubles up as NACADA Director for the good work he has been doing in supporting young talent.
Comedy careers
The two comedians (Eric Omondi and Chipukeezy) both started their comedy careers on Churchill show where they entertained comedy lovers for several years before they left to run their own ventures.
They are now household names in the Kenyan entertainment industry and they command huge followings on social media.
