Former Citizen TV news Anchor Kirigo Ng'arua has hit back at a fan who asked her to dress decently.

Over the weekend, Kirigo was at Mukima house, a luxury country home in Laikipia to celebrate Terryanne Chebet’s Birthday and she stepped out rocking a black short-dress hence attracting comments from her followers.

However, the media personality hit back at those who were questioning her dress code, stating that she can’t be bothered because she got beautiful legs that she has to show off once in a while.

Can’t be bothered

“Some human commented somewhere that I should “dress decently”.... Not sure what that means and to be honest I can’t be bothered...Also I have beautiful legs so I have to show them off once in a while, add this lovely dress from @siristudio and life is complete at this moment... Occasion @terryannechebet Great Gatsby themed birthday weekend” reads Kirigo Ngarua’s response.

Kirigo was among Terryanne’s friends who turned up to celebrate her 40th Birthday. Chebet, who is a household name in Kenya media, retreated to Mukima house, in company of Journalist Mike Njenga, photographer Vincent Chepkwony, Shix Kapienga and her brother Kiprop among others.

Heart-warming message

Ms Ng’arua had also penned a heart-warming message, recounting their meeting and their friendship spanning over ten years.

“I remember watching you when you were at CNBC and I kept hoping and wishing we could be friends…and look at us here…a friendship that has grown over 10 years…we have laughed, we have cried, we have fought, we have “cancelled” each other and we have prayed for each other. I am grateful that you chose me and stuck by us through the good and bad times… As you turn 40, you know my prayer for you. Happy birthday my love”.
