I accidentally bleached my skin - Vera Sidika’s friend confesses

I bleached my face but it was an accident.

“Looking good is my business. My body is my business, nobody else's but mine.” Vera defended herself in a widely televised interview with NTV.

While Vera’s decision to lighten her skin was deliberate her friend Lisa Gaitho was caught off-guard. On her YouTube channel, the beauty blogger disclosed that she accidentally bleached her skin after buying some cream from a Tanzanian supplier online.

She was hesitant at first due to the stark difference between the before and after pictures, but she was promised that the cream would clear her dark spots but little did she know that it would lighten her skin too.

“I bleached my face but it was an accident. ” Lisa said explaining why her skin wasn’t looking its best.

“I had very dark sports here (points to cheek and chin), they are still there faded but uum I found this product online. A Tanzanian product and I asked this lady selling are you sure this is not going to bleach my face? She was like no, ah-ah, utakua mrembo, madoadoa itaisha.” Lisa disclosed.

Convinced, she decided to give the cream a  go which made a huge difference in her skin before it started reacting badly.

“I won’t lie it made my face very smooth, I raved about it on Snapchat at some point but it lightened my skin and I’m so upset as you can see my lips are like a bit dark.”

After the unexpected experience, Lisa decided to switch up her products. “The only thing I use is the Neutrogena visibly clear spot clearing face wash.”
