In an interview with Talk Central, Willis revealed that he had met Mary much earlier than most people thought but didn’t date her then as he was in a relationship with Sally Mbilu at that time.

“We met in church, at Jubilee Christian Church through my friend Pablo. He introduced me and when I saw her, l was like ‘Good Lord Hallelujah!’ But even though I noticed her fine-ness, I didn’t do anything as I was still in a relationship. About a year passed by after we met,” Willis revealed.

After his relationship with Sally Mbilu bit the dust, he started pursuing Mary. However, they were off to a somewhat rocky start as he was very skeptical because he wasn’t sure Mary loved him for him or she was in love with Willis the celebrity.

“After my break up, I reached out to her (Mary). I was very skeptical, nilimtesa sana. She would reach out to me and I just didn’t reply. This was because I wanted to know whether she loved Willis wa TV or just Willis. I cancelled like 4 times,” he confessed much to the shock of his interviewer Kalekye.

After the mateso, Willis got to know Mary was the real deal after he broke his leg and some friends took flight. “We started getting to know each other, I broke my knee and she started coming over. During that time she would give me things instead of asking for things which is what I was used to.”

With her pure heart and her ability to call out Willis on his B.S, she won him over fully and the two tied the knot in 2017 surrounded by colleagues, family and friends.
