Gospel singer Jimmy Gait has left the country for India where he is set to undergo treatment for a rare condition he has been battling for months.

The ‘Kuna Day’ hitmaker left the country on Sunday morning aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight for India where doctors had referred him for further treatment.

Jimmy gait who has been ailing for a while is expected back in the country after two weeks.

After taking a low profile with long absence from the social media, the award-winning musician revealed to his fans earlier this week that he is battling a rare condition, explaining his absence from social media for the past three months.

Speaking in a video he uploaded on YouTube, the singer who looks frail said he has been in and out of hospital seeking treatment without success.

He went on to say that his doctors recommended that he travels to India for specialized treatment.

I know for a long time I have not been able to talk to you, I’ve not been on social media for maybe three months, and a lot of people have been wondering Gait alienda wapi…I have not been well, I have been battling a condition and gone to quite a number of hospitals and it has been decided that I have to go out of the country for special treatment and medical attention,” he said in the video.

If you are my fan, if you believe in me, if I have blessed you in any way through my music, speaking or through anything I have done its time for me to seek your support. Say a prayer for me, it will go a long way,” he added.

The singer stated that he will be travelling for the specialized treatment this week and he believes that all shall be well with God, promising to update his fans on the progress of his recovery.
