The veteran journalist was kicked out of KTN following the ugly incident that happened on Jeff Koinange Live on 17 November 2016. (Where Miguna Miguna savagely attacked Esther Passaris saying that she was too beautiful that men wanted to rape her.)
KTN’s decision to kick Jeff out was preceded by Standard Editor, David Ohito, telling viewers that Standard Group had taken action against Jeff Koinange.
“I would want to remind the viewers here and anybody else who is interested that there are ways in which TV stations work. One includes outsourcing credible people to produce content and then you simply air. That is how Jeff Koinange’s show came to KTN. I want to clarify again that Jeff Koinange is not in the ranked file of the staff of the Standard Group. But the management has taken a decision which it will be following administratively.” David Ohito said on Press Pass three days before Jeff announced that JKL would no longer be airing on KTN.
Well, not all is lost for Jeff Koinange, he has taken his eponymous show to a rival station that sure gives KTN a run for its money.
Ghafla! has gotten scoops from sources within Nation Media Group (NMG) that Jeff Koinange Live will be airing on NTV. Details of when JKL will be up and running on NTV are still scanty.
One can only say that it's been a long time coming, Jeff finally joins his friend Larry Madowo on NTV.
