John Paul Mwirigi made history in Kenya after being elected as the Youngest Member of Parliament during the August 8 general election.
The 23-year-old, a student at Mt. Kenya University, won the Igembe South Constituency seat as an Independent garnering 19, 980 votes against Jubilee's Rufus Miriti's 16, 615 votes.
Mwirigi has received a major boost in his wardrobe after being groomed by one of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s designer in order to get the official “Mheshimiwa” look.
The legislator visited Uhuru’s designer accompanied by Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie and Churchill Show Comedian MC Jesse to get high ended Suits.
Recently, the Bachelor of Education student was driven to State House by Tharaka MP George Murugara for a Jubilee parliamentary group meeting chaired by Kenyatta.

After the meeting, the MP walked on foot to the City Centre in search of a friend who had promised to give him a car to help him move around the city before buying his own car.
Mwirigi relied on well-wishers during his campaigns and after making history by being elected and rode on a bus from Meru to Nairobi for parliamentary orientation.
The Igembe South representatives have joined the list of other Young Parliamentary in the 12th Parliament among them Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar, Mohammed Ali, John Kiarie aka JK, Naisula Lessuda among others.
