Citizen TV Swahili news anchor Kanze Dena has sent an emotional tribute as she laid to rest her father Harry Stephens Kitao who passed on, on Sunday.
“Dad and Mum... Thank you for everything...I KNOW YOU WATCHING OVER ME.... AS I WATCH OVER MY SIBLINGS...I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE HALF THE GREAT PEOPLE YOU WERE......SHOES TOOOO BIG TO FILL..... You will always be in my heart...ana miss zaid... . I love you......'Naam tuonane mtooni watakatifu kwetu mtoni... Tutakusanyika mtooni kwenye Kiti cha Enzi....',” she said in a post on her Instagram.
Kanze Dena’s father who was a community mobilizer who played a key in role supporting the education of children from disadvantaged families was also mourned by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In his condolence message, President Uhuru said Harry Stephens kitao will be remembered for his focus and zeal to improve his family, the community and the nation.
“It is with grief and a deep sense of loss that I learnt of the death of Mr Stephens and I convey my deep sympathies and heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives and friends,” President Kenyatta said.
