Coincidentally, most of those who walked down the aisle in 2019 are from the media industry followed closely by musicians.

In November, Kenyan R&B and Hip-Hop Artiste Nyamari Ongegu aka Nyashinski got married to his longtime Girlfriend Zia Jepkemei Bett alias Zippy in a traditional wedding that was graced by close friends and family Members.

The traditional ceremony had the pleasure to host the likes of; Bien, Savara, Big Pin, Fakii Liwali and Nameless among others.

The former Kleptomaniax music group member, is among the celebrities who have managed to keep their love life private for a while.

Navio

Ugandan rapper Daniel Kigozi popularly known as Navio walked his longtime girlfriend and baby mama Matilda Nassimbwa down the aisle in Sweden.

The exquisite affair that went down at Vastland Kyrka in Sweden saw only close friends and family members attend the wedding. Some notable names present at the wedding included Navio’s mother Dr Maggie and female rapper Stella Mwangi who is popularly known as STL. STL lives in Sweden.

The two love birds have been together since 2017 and are blessed with a son.

Jalango

On October 26th, Media personality Felix Odiwour, commonly known as Jalang'o wedded his wife in a traditional ceremony, an event that was attended by his close friends and relatives.

Among the people who attended the event were MC Jessy, Alex Mwakideu, Robert Burale, Chris Kirwa and Big ted.

The popular comedian and radio presenter wedded his wife in a beautiful, low-key ceremony whose details remain scanty.

Sam Gituku

Award-winning Citizen TV journalist Sam Gituku walked down the aisle with the love of his life at a star-studded ceremony on May 25th, 2019.

Gituku said “I do” to the woman of his dreams Ivy Waitherero at Deliverance Church in Karen.Thereafter, the couple retreated to a reception at Nairobi Academy.

Both Ivy and Gituku are employees of Royal Media services and present to witness the union was a host of Royal Media Services employees.

Uganda singer Rema Namakula walked down the aisle with her new lover Dr Hamza Sebunya in Nabbingo, Masaka.

The ceremony popularly known as “Kwanjula” saw Rema’s close friends, government officials, family and fellow celebrities converge in Nabbingo to be part of the love celebration as the two officiated their affair.

Maureen Kunga

Elani band member Maureen Kunga walked down the aisle in a private wedding that was held on the shores of Lake Naivasha towards the end of August.

In July this year, Award winning KTN News reporter Hussein Mohammed got married to the love of his life.

Kanze Dena

In March State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena exchanged wedding vows with Nick Mararo in a two day secret affair.

The event which was held in her home County of Kwale was a closely-guarded affair and was only attended by close family members and invited guests.

The couple opted for a traditional ceremony in which Mararo paid dowry and exchanged vows with the former Citizen TV news anchor.

Dena, 39, has a son from a previous relationship.
