Wema Sepetu in trouble after posting this photo on Magufuli’s government

Bongo movie Actress Wema Sepetu has landed in trouble with a section of Tanzanians after sharing a photo on Maguli’s government.

Wema who is a member of President Magufuli’s Party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), took to her social media to share a poster condemning planned demonstrations in Tanzania by members of the opposition party.

Ms Sepetu’s statement, received a hostile reception, as many Tanzanians termed her efforts of calling off the planned demonstrations as betrayal.

The planned demonstration in Tanzania are aimed at protesting against the new Internet regulations that have been introduced by the Magufuli’s government.

The Tanzanian government has introduced Sh93,000 fee for those wanting to have an online blog, giving the authorities unprecedented control over the internet.

Bloggers to pay for Internet

The government now requires all bloggers to pay the annual fee and register before they begin publishing material.

It's not just bloggers affected by the provisions, but online radio stations, online streaming platforms, online forums, social media users and internet cafes.

The online hate directed at Wema, prompted her to clap back stating that she is still the Tanzanian queen.
