Kirinyaga Governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru is set to marry Lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo in a traditional wedding (Ngũrario) 4 weeks from now. The high profile nuptials will take place at Kiamũgumo Primary School in Kirinyaga County on July 13th 2019.
Wilbroda’s advice to Anne Waiguru ahead of her wedding
Waiguru will wed a city lawyer in July 2019.
Milele FM presenter Wilbroda had some pieces of advice for the blushing bride and one of them was that she should take her time (I think to get kids), preferably wait at least 3 years and test the waters .
“Ukiolewa tu hivi itabidi ungoje miaka mitatu incase things ziende segemnege. Mambo yakienda segemnege itabidi uvumilie hiyo segemnege kwa miaka mitatu,” Wilbroda advised on Milele FM.
She then went on to add that Waiguru should ensure that she has a marriage certificate even if she is getting married in a traditional wedding. “Number two mkifanya Ngũrario, kumbuka kwamba certificate is a must hata kama ni traditional wedding, ni a must. Lazima uende ufanye registration.”
Wilbroda also advised young ladies against rushing into marriage for fear that their biological clock is ticking, they should be patient just like Waiguru and they too will get a decent man.
“Acheni kukimbilia ndoa ukiona wakati unakupita. Anne Waiguru amepata sabuni ya roho yake ilhali watoto wake ni wakubwa,” she recommended.
The Kirinyaga Governor got engaged to the man of her dreams at a lavish ceremony held at the Lord Erroll hotel in Nairobi, bringing an end to speculations about her love life that has remained private despite her high flying career.
The event held on 16th February 2019, two days after Valentine’s Day saw City lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo formalize their relationship and pay dowry (Rũracio) in accordance to Kikuyu customs with close friends and relatives witnessing.
Confirming the significant step in their relationship, Waiganjo stated that, “It was a beautiful ceremony. The time was right for us to take our relationship to the next level”.
