Diamond Platnumz throws his weight behind Nyashinski

The act has wowed many.

He will be facing off with some of Africa’s heavyweights like Davido and Wizkid from Nigeria, Babes Wodumo and Nasty C from South Africa and C4 Pedro from Angola.

Diamond Platnumz who has won the award in the past decided to summon all the powers of the East African voting block to ensure that the award comes home.

This was by garnering support for Nyashinki by urging his 4 Million Instagram followers to vote for the Kenyan superstar:

“Please let's not forget to vote for @realshinski as the Best African Act on MTV EMA!!!(Ndugu yetu @realshinski yupo katika tunzo za @MtvEma kwenye kipengele cha Msanii bora Africa... tafadhali tusikose mpigia kura ili kwa pamoja tuilete Tunzo hii Nyumbani...)”

In the past, East Africa as a voting block have proven to be a formidable force as the last 3 MTV EMA’s have gone to East Africans.

Ali Kiba carried the day in 2016, in 2015 Diamond Platnumz won while the 2014 winners were Sauti Sol.
