Former Citizen TV Journalist to open own TV station

The Media Personality is making a come back to the Industry via his own ship

’Hi! Just got my TV license and I’m now looking for investors. If interested, kindly send me your email. Cheers!’’ shared Jimmy Gathu

Last year, the Radio and TV personality was among four people who had applied for broadcast licenses.

In the gazette Notice, the veteran Journalist had requested to be given the mandate to open his own media house.

“The licenses if granted will enable the said applicants to operate and provide services as indicated above their names” said Communication Authority of Kenya Director Francis Wangusi.

The CAK director called on any person objecting to the issuance of the license to send a letter to the Authority within 30 days.

Gathu is one of the media personalities who seems to defy nature by not growing old. We’ve all seen the lad in the youthful days when he first graced our TVs and you can bear me witness he hasn’t changed much.

Before retiring from media, Gathu worked at KBC, Citizen TV, Nation Media Group , K24, Milele FM and Nation FM.
