Radio Jambo Presenter Massawe Japanni involved in an Accident

On Wednesday, Radio Jambo Presenter Massawe Japanni was involved in a road accident but luckily she escaped unhurt.

Reports indicate that the accident happened after a Matatu belonging to the Orokise Sacco rammed into Massawe’s Nissan Xtrail near Nyayo stadium while she was heading to work.

The accident left the Bustani la Massawe host shaken with her car badly damaged. The rear window was completely broken.

 “Niko salama lakini bado nimeshtuka. I have been hit at Nyayo stadium by a Matatu from Orokise Sacco. I am fine but quite shaken. There was great impact,” Said Massawe Japanni. 

Radio Jambo made the announcement while explaining to their listeners on why the Radio Presenter had not reported to work. She reported the matter at the Industrial Area Police Station.

Massawe, who was away from Radio since April 2017, made a comeback upon joining Radio Jambo in September last year.

 “Hey , so looking forward to reconnect…Cocked and ready," wrote Massawe while making comeback.

Massawe had worked with Radio Jambo before but parted ways in April 2017, after she decided to take a break from the radio Industry.

She also worked with Q FM, a station that was owned by Nation Media Group before being poached to join Mediamax owned station Milele FM.

At Milele, Massawe used to host the Drive show alongside Kazungu Matano popularly known as Captain Otoyo.

She is married to Tom Japanni, the head of Radio Maisha, a station owned by Standard Group Ltd.
